Peter Manev is the QA Lead and Evangelist for the Suricata project, as well as a long time contributor - for over a decade -, and has a 15 years-long record of activity in the field of IT security. An adamant admirer and explorer of innovative open source security software, he's also the lead developer of SELKS and co-founder of Stamus Networks.
With the Suricata team, he also leads many custom trainings and conference talks, always elevating and focusing on open source tools that integrate well and enhance what Suricata can do and offer.

Suricata is globally used and recognized as one of the main open source tools for Network Security, Monitoring and Forensics, used by both small and big organizations in the private and public sector. We have a strong focus and appreciation for our community, and some members have been decisive in helping us the future of Suricata. We try to foster both long-term and new contributors, and as such host a yearly Community Conference (SuriCon), and take part in Outreachy, to support bringing new and more diverse contributors to our project, and stay sharp with what is important for newcomers.
