A thousand strangers wrote this code,
from basements, cafés, flights at 2 AM,
with coffee rings and keyboard calluses to show —
no paycheck, just the pull of
git pushzen. They filed the bugs they stumbled on first,
they left the comments future-you would need,
they closed the issues tagged "good first work"
and planted documentation like a seed.
No org chart guided where they'd go,
no sprint review could herd their nights —
just
CONTRIBUTING.mdand faiththat someone else would come and get it right.
So raise a ⭐ for all they gave:
the lib you
importevery single day,the README written at 3 AM
by someone who just wanted things to work — okay? 🙌
Sparked by the quiet heroism of the maintainer who merges your PR at midnight, asks nothing, and ships the fix anyway.
