gemini is literally scamming users

just like 2 days ago, Gemini CLI is unavailable again for the past 12 hours!
I'm an Ultra user and experiencing errors again.

It's been only a week by now I've been using Gemini over Cluade - I was just testing it.

What I think here is, it does not look like a "general" or "temprary service load" issue - but the limitations.
Despite the fact it's showing I have used only 7% of my limits - I am highly suspecious as of now that Gemini is doing it on purpose simple because the limits they claim are false and sugar-coated topping.
It obviously has a "daily limit" that it's not mentioning and limiting the usage on purpose and pretending like there's a "temporary" issue. It's not running for the past 12+ hours and not even one post here - indicating that I'm literally being scammed by hidden limitations.

As a result, I've just succesfully cancelled my Gemini plan and I'm never coming back - at least for a long while.
I think those who experience the same limitations should do the same.

The exact same thing is happening to me (and I’m a Pro user). For some reason, I want to continue using the Gemini CLI, so could anyone explain why this is happening? A few days ago, I was able to use the Gemini CLI without these limitations-specifically before version 0.35.3 was released.

Even after a 12-hour break, I get a 429 error on my very first request. I hope this is just a bug and that someone knows how to fix it (or if/when the developers are going to address this)

Yes, it's a disgrace. I pay 20/month and it's unusable (I'd cancel permanently as I now use Claude (MUCH better) but it's tied to my 2TB Drive account which I need).. I did a simple prompt, it took 20% of my weekly(!) quota and then hung. No result, no nothing, just 20% of me weekly quota vanished. Previously I've been blocked out for DAYS even though I was promised 5hr resets .

Yes me too, and I'm literally thinking to report the Gemini checkout as SCAM to my bank and get a full refund for a service that I could not use in anyway. By the way, even gemini-flash version has started to give the same error. How disgraceful.

I'm a pro user and I haven't been able to use cli for 3 weeks. A simple request like what's 1+1 can take anywhere from 5 minutes to 5 hours. Completely broken

Ever since the new policy on March 25th, Pro users in the CLI have been inexplicably treated like regular free users with basically zero quota. It is absolutely shameless of Google to make such a policy change. It is honestly embarrassing to see everyone still trying to reason with them in these discussions. I suggest we just skip straight to: go fuck yourself Google.
