Google did it again, lure in users, make them customers and then dig their fangs deep to prevent them from getting out.
We had a perfectly fine Gemini CLI but now you're forcing us to use a buggy and token devouring "mUlTi aGeNtIc pRoGrAmMinG" assistant. Antigravity sucks ass, it's usage limits suck ass, it's implementation sucks ass.

If you’ve ever used Antigravity, you probably noticed that its usage limits used to feel much higher — sometimes even more generous than the Gemini CLI. I’m not completely sure if that’s accurate, just guessing based on my experience. I started using the Antigravity IDE when the new Gemini 3 Pro launched, and honestly, it was really impressive.
But there’s one major issue: the IDE feels extremely heavy and slow. Maybe the CLI version is lighter, but I’m not certain. Another disappointing thing is that only a few weeks after launch, Google significantly reduced the limits. Earlier, the usage felt far more flexible, but now it feels much more restrictive, almost too limited to use comfortably.
I can understand why models like Gemini Pro, Claude Opus, or GPT OSS would have stricter limits because they are expensive to run. But the Gemini Flash model should ideally have much higher limits, and unfortunately that’s not the case.
My favorite is still Gemini CLI, and honestly, it probably always will be — mainly because it’s open source, lightweight, and genuinely very good.

@Codeleafly I was very fine with Gemini CLI, but Antigravity CLI burned through my paid limits crazy quickly and it just looks bad. No clue who decided Antigravity CLI was ready to replace Gemini CLI, it's insanely unpolished

This do make me feel uncomfortable. AI Pro subscription is a paid service, while Gemini CLI is an open-source project; yet, we are being unilaterally forced to migrate to Antigravity CLI without sufficient justification.

I use API method since day one Gemini cli were introduced. Oauth is just a supported method and usage but people are abusing it.
