This is a common type conversion. BigInt class should have a static method for handling it.

A transaction on a contract I didn't write emits an event that I'm handling, but I'm more interested in the event logs attached to this transaction.

Some of those logs are for ERC20 transfer events. Since the token amount is not indexed I need to pull it from the event log's data rather than its topics. That data is a hex string that I need to converted to a BigInt.

I ended up using the implementation in this library to move forward: https://www.npmjs.com/package/as-bigint

Might make a PR to add similar functionality when I have more time.
