I don't know who was responsible but the change to IntMap Internals seems to have been very good for performance.

For dom-lt after the container dependency bumped instructions executed went down by 6-7%! I did not expect there to be this much to squeeze out there. So excellent work and I figured I would let the maintainer(s) know :)

Glad to hear that! If you updated to 0.8 the improvement is likely because of #995. It was a big change so it is good to know that it is paying off :)

Sounds like GHC should adopt these changes for its Word64Map and Word64Set…

There was some discussion about that in #355, though I don't know if anybody worked on it.
