Description

A session time-machine for AI coding tools. Mantra automatically snapshots your Claude Code, Cursor, and Windsurf sessions, letting you browse, diff, and restore any past conversation state. Useful for recovering context lost to compaction, accidental /clear, or IDE crashes.

Validate Claims

Install Mantra, start a Claude Code session and work on something for a few minutes. Run mantra to open the UI. You will see a timeline of automatic snapshots of your session. Click any snapshot to view the full conversation at that point in time. Click "Restore" to roll back to that state.

Specific Task(s)

  1. Start a Claude Code session and have a conversation with several back-and-forth messages
  2. Run /clear or /compact to lose context
  3. Open Mantra UI and browse the timeline - you will see all previous states preserved
  4. Restore a previous snapshot to recover the full conversation

Specific Prompt(s)

After installing Mantra, simply run mantra in your terminal to open the session browser. No special prompts needed - Mantra works as a companion tool alongside Claude Code, automatically capturing session states in the background.

Additional Comments

Mantra supports Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, and Augment Code. It runs locally with zero cloud dependency - all data stays on your machine. Available for macOS (Intel/Apple Silicon), Linux (x86_64/arm64), and Windows.
