I think this PR shouldn't live here, because vendoring is likely different for different projects. For Hex we moved this to https://github.com/hexpm/hex/blob/main/scripts/vendor_hex_core.sh. If rebar3 is a user of this I would suggest moving the script to the rebar3 repo. |

It is. I'll inline it to rebar then and switch this PR to delete it. |
