GitHub Marketplace Submission Process

GitHub Marketplace cannot be submitted via API - it requires manual browser interaction:

Step 1: Create GitHub App from Manifest

Visit the following URL (generated from manifest.json):

This will auto-populate all app settings from the manifest.

Step 2: Add to Marketplace

After creating the GitHub App:

  1. Go to Settings > Developer settings > GitHub Apps > DevKits
  2. Scroll to "Marketplace" section
  3. Click "List in Marketplace"
  4. Complete the listing form:
    • Category: Developer Tools
    • Pricing: Free
    • Verify all URLs are correct
  5. Click "Submit for review"

Step 3: Wait for Approval

  • Review time: Typically 3-5 business days
  • GitHub team will contact you at: support@aiforeverthing.com
  • You'll be notified via email when approved

Requirements Met

All GitHub Marketplace requirements for free apps are met:

  • Valid contact information (support@aiforeverthing.com)
  • Relevant description of the application
  • Pricing plan specified (Free)
  • Valid privacy policy link
  • Valid support link
  • All links work and resolve correctly
  • App provides value to GitHub community
  • App is publicly accessible
  • No webhook events required for free app
