After I updated my squeak image to the newest trunk build, WA didn't seem to work anymore. Settings were unchanged and still there, WAHandler reset didn't do no magic either. After installing the new version (3.2) everything worked again.
I am using squeak version 17344 right now. I don't know wether this is you fault, or a bug in the old version, but maybe this is of interest for you :)
