There was a problem hiding this comment.
This change replaces the workspace dependency pattern (workspace:^) with a hardcoded version (0.1.0), which breaks the monorepo dependency management approach used in Backstage.
In Backstage monorepos, internal packages should reference each other using workspace:^ to ensure they use the local versions during development. This maintains consistency and prevents version conflicts.
Instead of changing how the package is referenced, the security fix should be applied to the @backstage/plugin-search-react package itself.
Hardcoding the version this way could lead to:
- Version conflicts with other packages
- Build failures
- Difficulty tracking dependencies
- Issues during development when local changes aren't picked up
Consider addressing the vulnerability by updating the actual package rather than modifying how it's referenced.

Snyk has created this PR to fix 1 vulnerabilities in the yarn dependencies of this project.
Snyk changed the following file(s):
plugins/explore/package.jsonNote for zero-installs users
If you are using the Yarn feature zero-installs that was introduced in Yarn V2, note that this PR does not update the
.yarn/cache/directory meaning this code cannot be pulled and immediately developed on as one would expect for a zero-install project - you will need to runyarnto update the contents of the./yarn/cachedirectory.If you are not using zero-install you can ignore this as your flow should likely be unchanged.
