This PR adds the GitHub Copilot CLI (
@github/copilot) to the default installation in the devcontainer environment, as requested in the issue.Changes
.devcontainer/devcontainer.json: Added@github/copilotto thepostCreateCommandnpm install, so it will be installed globally alongside the existing tools when the devcontainer is created.github/workflows/ci.yml: Added a test to verify thatgithub-copilot-cliis available in the PATH after devcontainer setupResult
When users create a new codespace or build the devcontainer, the GitHub Copilot CLI will now be automatically installed and ready to use. The installation happens during the
postCreateCommandphase using:The CI pipeline now validates that the tool is correctly installed as part of the devcontainer functionality tests.
Fixes the feature request to include GitHub Copilot CLI by default.
