[MAINT]: Find a replacement tool for `gofmt`

Describe the need

We currently use gofmt to rewrite deprecated coding patterns with rewrite-rules.

Now we want to find a different tool for this functionality.

Additional features we’d love to see:

• Support for more complex patterns. For example replacing log calls with tflog would be cool to do automatically
