What should this feature add?

I would like to propose the integration of native, local support for the recently released Krea 2 foundation model into the InvokeAI ecosystem. Krea 2 represents a significant advancement in open-weight generative AI and would provide users with a powerful, distinct creative workflow locally.

Proposed Features

  • Local Inference Support: Native pipeline execution for Krea 2 weights, allowing users to run generations entirely on local consumer hardware without subscription tiers or API usage fees.
  • Aesthetic Exploration: Support for Krea 2’s "aesthetic-first" diffusion process, allowing users to leverage its superior style adherence and mood-based generation capabilities natively in the UI.
  • Prompt Expansion & Style Reference: Native handling of Krea 2’s built-in prompt expansion system and style-reference (image-to-style) capabilities, enabling more intuitive creative direction without requiring complex manual prompting.

Alternatives

The current alternatives involve using external web UIs, cloud-hosted subscription platforms, or paid APIs to access Krea 2. Native local integration is required to bypass paid service fees and keep the full generation pipeline private, free, and accelerated locally on local hardware.

Integrating this specialized foundation model locally aligns perfectly with InvokeAI's focus on professional and independent creator workflows. Krea 2 offers an artistically opinionated generative experience that would heavily enrich the existing toolset without cloud dependencies.
