Isaac Lab 3.0 Beta 2 is now available

We’re excited to announce Isaac Lab 3.0 Beta 2, a stabilization and enablement release for the Isaac Lab 3.0 beta line. This release builds on the first 3.0 beta with stronger multi-backend support, expanded Newton workflows, improved rendering and camera pipelines, simplified training commands, and broader installation, Docker, CI, and documentation updates. Isaac Lab 3.0 Beta 2 is compatible with Isaac Sim 6.0.

Highlights

Isaac Lab 3.0 Beta 2 delivers a major leap in scalable, high-fidelity robot learning with better physics realism, flexible simulation, and much higher performance.

• Deformable physics (VBD): Adds realistic cable and soft-material simulation for more advanced manipulation tasks
• Kamino solver (Newton): Enables accurate simulation of complex mechanical systems without simplifications
• Unified actuators: Standardizes behavior across Sim, Lab, and solvers for seamless workflow transitions
• Richer environments: Supports rough terrain and heterogeneous setups for more realistic training
• Better policies: Higher throughput and longer rollouts improve learning quality and success rates
• Agentic workflows: Adds tooling to automate workflows and simplify migration to Lab 3.0.
