I think that this is clearer in the intention than before - it is probably my fault, but I had the feeling that xtype was rather like utype (i.e. poorly defined).

Not bad style, no, just a trap for future editors. Saying "(Sect. 3 in DALI 1.2)" would probably be fairly safe, though. Or "(in the section on Data Types and Literal Values)"? Feel free to fork my PR if you have creative ideas.
