killed unit testing with Java 25 in v1.12.1

Hi,
After upgrade to 1.12.1 we get this error during unit testing: Test has been compiled by a more recent version of the Java Runtime (class file version 67.0), this version of the Java Runtime only recognizes class file versions up to 65.0
Unfortunately we cannot update now to such a new version. Is there a specific reason you needed Java 25? or maybe we can somehow override it.

No, I only wanted to compile with 25 but forgot to set compatibility. Now done in #172! Tested locally in a JDK 17 project and confirmed working.
