Context
Lost Pixel hadn't made client updates in over 1 year, accumulating old transitive dep versions and security vulns. Their builds had intermittent, vague errors, empty logs. Then Lost Pixel announced they are sunsetting the service. No offboarding plan. So I did some research to make the closest, simplest leap.
