Allowing user to select a duration?

I know we can pick a time and have it configured to show a duration. Bu when if I have a field where all I want is a duration, mapped to a database, eg 30 min, 1 hour etc?

Mapping the options to a database is probably going to make this too complicated to solve with one library alone. If the options are fairly simple or limited, a select html element might work:

  <option value="30">30 min</select>
  <option value="60">1 hour</select>
  ...
</select>
