Feature request: animated GIF support (and similar formats using jpg and avif and stuff)

With a small setting in the hotbar at the bottom to change the framerate (or delay between frames)

i think that would be nice to support GIFs

Thanks for the feedback! Supporting animated images is on the roadmap. It requires implementing sequence playback, which makes the code quite a bit more complex. As a result, it might take some time before this feature is released.
