[Feature Request] Bookmarks Tags

It would be great if the extension could incorporate tags (in Firefox, I'm not sure if Chrome supports tags) in some way. I did a bit of research and found that there isn't an official method for this, but there are some GitHub projects that have managed to make it work.

Yes, unfortunately, there is no such API in browsers, but it could be very useful.
I reviewed the link to the experiment, and I'll say right away that the functionality for adding tags itself is not small, and I definitely won't use experiments that apply only to one of the browsers for this. I consider it impractical.

However, tags would indeed be useful. I’m not closing this issue, but I can't promise that I'll add something similar (as it might affect the current functionality). However, I will think about how to try integrating tags without relying on browser-specific APIs.

Hey thanks for considering it at least, what you are saying is totally reasonable. However, I came across this extension that offers a workaround handling tags as part of a title, and it should work perfectly on Google Chrome https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/addon/bookmark-tags/.

Its code might provide a way to make this feature a (cross-browser) reality.

Yes, I had considered this option earlier (for a different functionality), but ultimately decided against it because it's quite a dirty hack. Especially when a user stops using my extension and sees how other tools display all these tags in the title field.

At the moment, even though it's not very convenient, it seems more proper to create and store the tags within the extension itself (even if it's not very convenient).
