Restore or import bookmarks issue

If "Generating a thumbnail when creating a bookmark" option is active, when using bookmarks manager to restore or import large files (more than 2500 bookmarks in my case), hundreds of thumbnail generator processes are triggered, making the system unresponsive.
It seems that existing thumbnail in default folder are skipped.

I thought I had solved this problem, but I might be mistaken and maybe I was just too lazy, it was a long time ago ). I’ll take a look at it in the near future.

By the way, there’s no validation either, the thumbnails are simply created, and there’s no point in checking them, because when importing bookmarks their identifiers will already be different.

Now it’s clear. Unfortunately, Firefox does not provide a way to receive events for the start and end of bookmark imports, so importing each bookmark triggers multiple thumbnail creation calls.

At the moment, I don’t see a solution for Firefox. All we can do is hope that Firefox continues to improve its extension APIs, particularly the bookmarks API.

What I can suggest is disabling the automatic screenshot generation option before starting the import, and then enabling it again once the import is complete, since importing bookmarks is usually a fairly rare operation.
