Steps to reproduce

send a message to the server chat and not see it in the console

First thing to check: in settings.yml under Channels.List, make sure the channel you're chatting in doesn't have Format_Console: none (the global default is [{channel}] {player}: {message}). Setting it to none hides messages from console by design.

If that's not it, it's almost always another chat plugin grabbing the message at a higher listener priority. Can you give me:

• Server type and exact version (Paper or Spigot?)
• Full /plugins list
• The /chc debug ZIP

With that I can pinpoint it.

Fixed for the next build. On modern Paper the console line was being routed through an internal viewer that Paper never actually delivers to, so chat stopped showing in the console while still reaching players. It now logs to the console directly. Thanks for the report.
