Hello WindTerm Team,
Thank you for developing and maintaining such an excellent SSH client tool. WindTerm provides a very smooth experience for server management and daily development operations.
Currently, the macOS version appears to be primarily built for the Intel (x86_64) architecture and relies on Rosetta translation when running on Apple Silicon devices (M1/M2/M3 series). With Apple gradually phasing out Intel architecture support in future macOS releases, this may lead to potential compatibility, performance, and stability issues over time.
We would like to suggest adding a native Apple Silicon (ARM64) version for macOS. This improvement could provide several benefits:
Better performance and lower resource consumption
Reduced dependency on Rosetta 2 translation
Improved startup speed and runtime stability
Better compatibility with future macOS versions
Enhanced battery efficiency on MacBook devices
As more developers and enterprise users are now using Apple Silicon Macs, native ARM64 support would greatly improve the overall user experience and future-proof the macOS platform compatibility of WindTerm.
Thank you again for your great work and continuous improvements to the product.
