Hi,
Recently macOS showed a warning that the Intel version of WindTerm may no longer be supported in future macOS releases.
Currently WindTerm on macOS still runs through Rosetta on Apple Silicon devices (M1/M2/M3).
I would like to ask whether there are plans to provide a native Apple Silicon (arm64) build for macOS.
A native version would help with:
- Better compatibility with future macOS versions
- Improved performance and lower power consumption
- Avoiding dependency on Rosetta 2
WindTerm is a great tool and many Apple Silicon users would really appreciate native support.
Thanks for your work!
macOS Sequoia already warns users about Intel-only applications,
and future macOS versions may remove Rosetta support completely.
