- Under the Hub tab, set the EncounteringType you want to run.
- Set up your Stop Conditions to tell the bot what kind of Pokémon to target.
- Optimally, your first Pokémon should not be shiny, have an announced ability, or have enough friendship to move in battle. It should have enough Speed to run away from the opposing Pokémon if this is part of the routine. You should have animations off. This makes encounters faster.
- Position your character depending on the EncounteringType below.
Back yourself up against a wall at the bottom of your screen. Starting in this mode will force your character to walk down until it hits the wall. Ensure that you do not drift left or right during this process.
- Set EncounteringType to VerticalLine.

Back yourself up against a wall to the left left of your screen. Starting in this mode will force your character to walk left until it hits the wall. Ensure that you do not drift up or down during this process. This mode will not work in the Wild Area because of the camera. Instead, rotate the camera so that the wall is behind you and use VerticalLine.
- Set EncounteringType to HorizontalLine.

These are all routines that rely on resetting the game. Since the game is closed and reopened, you will need the latest version of ldn_mitm.
- Set EncounteringType to the Routine that you wish to run.
- Gift: Any encounter where an NPC gives you a Pokémon or trades you a Pokémon. This checks for Box 1, Slot 1 to change, so if you are trading, put the Pokémon you want to trade in that slot, and if you are receiving a gift, leave it empty. You must have a full party and settings configured to automatically send Pokémon to box.
- Reset: Presses A until a wild encounter. Use this for any Regi not named Regigigas, tree encounters, "strong spawns" (look up how to despawn and date skip), or that Impidimp in Glimwood Tangle.
- Regigigas: Reset mode but for Regigigas only.
-
Eternatus: This has a very specific setup for best efficiency.
- Bring only one or two Pokémon.
- Start the fight against Eternatus, then faint the two Legendary Dogs and then Hop's Pokémon.
- Do not defeat Eternatus. Instead, allow it to knock out all of your Pokémon, sending you to the Pokémon Center.
- Travel from the Pokémon Center to the top of the tower again and position your character like in the example below. Be careful to not touch the stairs or the battle will begin.
- Save your game once you are standing right in front of the stairs.
- MotostokeGym: For the three scripted encounters in the Motostoke Gym challenge. Presses UP, then checks the encounter. Save below the Pokémon.
- Stand right in front of the Legendary Dog where you are able to talk to it.
- This mode will also work for Calyrex, but it can only check the details of Calyrex, not the horse it rides.
