While working on Strata I ran into the following (cf. strata-org/Strata#427):

I believe it's not unreasonable to be working within a git clone while wanting to generate documentation. We have worked around this in strata-org/Strata#732, but it would be great if doc-gen4 took care of this workaround by itself.

Do I understand correctly that you are working in a local git clone and would like to generate documentation for it? In that case working with DOCGEN_SRC="file" should be used as references to Github can be wrong to begin with.

Thanks for the reminder! As much as it would seem nice to also support the git@github.com schema, using DOCGEN_SRC="file" is likely the best route forward for us.
