libp2p DHT Best Practices Report by ProbeLab

At ProbeLab, we have recently put together a “Best Practices” report for libp2p’s DHT. The report is ideal for node operators, as well as foundations/projects that overlook the operation of entire libp2p DHT-based networks. The study has been summarised in the following two documents, published as blogposts:

Much of the reports’ content is implementation-agnostic, but we make specific reference to each implementation, where needed.

With this discussion thread, we’d like to: i) raise awareness about the reports, and ii) ask for feedback for corner cases we might have missed, or anything else that the community thinks should be part of these reports. Please contribute to this thread if you’ve got feedback to share.
