Cannot create keyboard shortcut. After writing in all the fields in the provided dialogue boxes and clicking "add", nothing happens. No error, the dialogue box doesn't close, nothing happens.

Have restarted computer, have tried different applications to create a shortcut to, same results

You then should click on the entry it creates after you add an item 'Clipboard History', for example. Then in the bottom view it will let you 'teach' a keybinding for that action.

It doesn't create an entry. The process stops at "Add". I can click on clipboard history and create new shortcuts for it, but I can't create an entry for flameshot or system monitor or anything, the add button just doesn't work.

Can you run 'cinnamon-settings keyboard' from a terminal, and see if maybe there's an error occurring somewhere.

Apparently my clipboard app auto added it's own keyboard shortcuts to the list, but it added them in such a way that it was causing errors when adding anything new. Fix is the delete the shortcuts created by "Windows 11 clipboard history" and everything will work fine.
