Related to #163 I saw smokping cut a new official release recently (2.9.0). I hope there will be a matching version bump here, as there are a lot of nice fixes within.

It's merged, so hopefully we will have an updated image soon! 🙂

Unfortunately this merged after alpines package freeze, and won't be available with the current baseimage. We have to rebase to edge, or realistically 3.22 once that's fully out (very close)

Thanks for the update! Just to understand better, when you say ‘very close’ to Alpine 3.22 being fully out, are we talking weeks or months?

It was released yesterday, its just a matter of rebasing now.
