SSLError: [ASN1: NOT_ENOUGH_DATA] when generating images in Stable Diffusion Forge

Hello,

I am experiencing a persistent SSLError: [ASN1: NOT_ENOUGH_DATA] when trying to generate images in Stable Diffusion Forge.

The installation seemed to complete successfully, but whenever I click "Generate", the process fails with the error shown in image.

I have attached the full error trace in image.

What I have already tried:

Deleted and re-installed the project folder.

Cleared temporary files.

Disabled Windows real-time protection.

It seems like the application is struggling to download/access a model or VAE file during the generation process due to an SSL issue. Does anyone know how to resolve this specific _ssl.c:4030 error?

Any advice or troubleshooting steps would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: Troubleshooting further, I found that this is a Pinokio/miniconda issue, not Forge. It stems from Pinokio's implementation of miniconda's OpenSSL and how it handles secure URL requests coming directly from Forge. When Forge is cloned from this official repo, it does not have this issue using it's own SSL implementation. So the problem should be addressed on Pinokio's GH: https://github.com/pinokiocomputer/pinokio

OLD - I'm receiving that same error when clicking "Load From:" in the Extensions -> Available sub-tab. This is when using the default https://raw.githubusercontent.com/AUTOMATIC1111/stable-diffusion-webui-extensions/master/index.json URL that ships with Forge and A1111. The URL works fine in A1111, and the JSON opens perfectly fine in a web browser...but Forge chokes on it with that same "SSLError: [ASN1: NOT_ENOUGH_DATA] not enough data (_ssl.c:4030)" error.

Steps to fix it:

Find your site-packages folder:
python -c "import site; print(site.getsitepackages())"

Look for the one ending in Lib\site-packages.

Create sitecustomize.py in that folder:
