Macro is a unified system for teams. We built it for our startup. Email, tasks, calls, messages, agents, docs, diagrams, (soon, crm) in one @linked together with team-level memory. Inspired by, and replaces — or integrates with — Slack, Linear, Notion, HubSpot, Superhuman, etc.
We built Macro because we wanted a single unified system. There are many good products, but nothing works together. So, we rebuilt everything from scratch, from first principles, in SolidJS and Rust, to work together as one. We've been dogfooding it for two years and now we've opened it up so you can use it too.
Email inspired by Superhuman, with better AI. Tasks inspired by Linear, deeply integrated into channels. Channels like Slack, with Reddit-style threading for focused technical discussions. And AI to separate #random pings from important ones. CRM that "just works". Video calls logged to team-level memory. A unified inbox for all of this, in one place, and much more.
Macro has raised $30m led by a16z. We are based in NYC.

Enterprise-grade security. Zero data retention with model providers, including no training on customer data. SOC 2 Type II certified. We welcome responsible security reports and pay bounties in accordance with severity and impact. Send reports to security@macro.com.
Macro is licensed under the Business Source License with AGPL conversion. See LICENSE.md for details. The short version is that non-production use is allowed, and each released version converts to AGPL after its change date. Production commercial use before that conversion requires a commercial license.
You can self-host Macro for development and evaluation. If you want to run Macro in production, contact self-host@macro.com so we can work through licensing and operational requirements.
We strongly recommend the hosted version for most teams. Macro gets better when it can connect teams to each other, and the managed service is where you get the latest features, Google Workspace integrations, SOC 2 controls, Apple App Store distribution, LiveKit-backed calls, and the sublicenses needed for production video. If you are in the military, government, or another environment where managed hosting is not possible, email us and we can talk through a deployment that fits.
