On Daedalus, Qt5 apps take almost 20 sec to launch, sometimes more. On Chimaera, it takes around 5 sec with quite the same sdcard and -devel upgrade.
I noticed in console that on every Qt5 launch, it starts libpvr_dri_support.so which takes a while. I suppose it is related to HW acceleration in Qt. This message was not there in chimaera with older pvr AFAIK.
If i install qt5ct package with proper parameters and 'force raster surface' the libpvr message disappears from console and Qt5 apps start in 2-3 sec, sometimes 1 sec.
Of course that's just a workaround but it means that slow Qt5 launch we carry from a while on N900 is not performance related but rather a configuration or optimisation issue.
I didn't notice any troubles with this workaround excepting if i run it on boot: conversations chat windows render uncorrectly and show the main window.
