Rename `master` branch to `main`

To some the name master can be considered offensive, the common practice has been to re-name branches from master to main, see the statement of the Software Freedom Conservancy.

@mafintosh since I don't have permissions to do this on the repo, can I ask you to rename the branch? This can be done quite easily from the GitHub UI by going to the branch overview, clicking the overflow menu on the master branch and selecting "rename branch".

@mafintosh would you be willing to give me some additional permissions so I can make this change? I will also need to fix up the NPM publishing (see #90), as well as rotate out the publishing method due to changes rolled out in NPM, so I will need to be able to set secrets as well.

main is a better branch name since it goes along with dev better, so this is not a bad change

But I still think the argument about master being offensive is bullshit, excuse my words

This is not the place for a discussion about this, and I suggest you put your efforts elsewhere. At this point it is just about aligning with the defaults of the industry, e.g. with Git and GitHub itself and my own laziness of not wanting to memorize which of my repos use master or main.

I would suggest that anyone downvoting this issue frankly do some introspection and see if they can't find something better to do with their lives than to fan useless flamewars 🤷‍♂️
