How do I know Kindle-for-ubuntu is secure?

I've downloaded, built, and run kindle.sh. A page appears in a window, I assume served by nodejs, but I'm asked to log into my amazon.com account. How do I now our login information is not being collected by this process?

I would like to believe this is secure and if so much thanks to your effort.

It's just a wrapper for Kindle Cloud Reader, so basically your login information is sent directly to Kindle. If you want to check its security, just check the code and see if there are any suspicious network requests.
