Disabled blocks low contrast

Disabled blocks have low contrast and can be difficult to read. This screenshot contains a few random blocks here only illustration purposes:

We have been preparing inclusive projects for students with visual impairments. In these resources the students start with a project with all required blocks present in the workspace and they need to assemble them the right order. In this arrangement, it can be quite difficult for students to identify/read the blocks with this contrast level.

This has been this way from atleast v3.

Design decision was Disabled blocks should have low contrast so that users not to confuse with them to be active. I am not sure making them highly visible is a good choice.

Another option is to use tutorial for this use case instead of using disabled blocks.

Agree - for these kinds of Parson's problems, I think a better approach might be to use a tutorial with a pinned flyout menu that contains some of these blocks and block clusters that the students can drag out onto the workspace and assemble.

This needs design and thorough user study. We will not be addressing this for 2026 release.
