Type: Bug
Behaviour
After opened the integrated powershell terminal, it will keep creating new lines (just like keep pressing ENTER button on keyboard). It will not stop until trashing the terminal.
I don't really know if this is a bug or I misconfigured my computer. All I have found is that, switching off the terminal.integrated.shellIntegration.enabled setting will eliminate this issue. I did other attempts, this problem will not reproduce when python extension is not installed, or open powershell directly in OS.
Although terminal.integrated.shellIntegration.enabled is a Features->Terminal setting, with this setting on and python extension not installed, there was no such problem above. So I assumed this is a extension related problem, thus reported here.
Steps to reproduce:
- Make sure the
terminal.integrated.shellIntegration.enabled setting is turned on.
- Open the integrated terminal.
- Create a new powershell window.
- Observe what is happening.
Diagnostic data
Output for Python in the Output panel (View→Output, change the drop-down the upper-right of the Output panel to Python)
There is no output for Python in the Output panel. I attached the terminal (the powershell window) output here instead. Screenshot is attached below
