VSCode on Windows opens the wrong file and arbitrarily closes files when saving

I have no idea what is wrong with my install of this app, it seems like it is disregarding basic tenets of file handling.

Sometimes when I open a file in VSCode it gives me the wrong file the first time and I have to try a second time (which is always right), as if it had another file cached that it wanted to open instead.

Also, sometimes when I save a file, it closes the file automatically, like I did a Ctrl+W in addition to a Ctrl+S.

I am on newest and have done a fresh install. I have no idea why it's doing any of this. Happens on Windows only, not Mac.

Can you attach a screen recording? That is very bizarre. Do you have extensions disabled? What about something special about your filestystem?

Seems like it may have been ritwickdey/vscode-live-server#1344, I'll see if I can still replicate.
