Hi there, I use portainer in my homelab which makes source images a bit of a pain to deal with. I forked your project to push them to my dockerhub but can easily update the workflow to work on master and playerbots branches if you like with tags.

Agree, atm i am doing is manually my modifying the yml file. When i got the time.

Do you want to retain the base docker publish from the upstream repo or just move over to just building playerbots?

@uprightbass360 what you have done is exactly what I was looking for, as I'm using Portainer too. I wanted to use your images, but it seems like the fork is not up to date anymore and the pipeline has failed. Are you still working on it?

Yeah I didn't have time to fix the merge issue last week, something came in when I rebased. I'll push a fix, but I'm not going to maintain it for much longer past getting the workflow into playerbots.

All good :) Kay feel free to pull my images they are up to date as of today. Hopefully I can drop the fork soon. Looks like the maintainers are working on implementing some workflow enhancements. Also taking requests @hermensbas given I don't know if you have special needs. Currently you are using all of the upstream workflows which as I am not a dev on the project I don't know if your team want to retain all of this. I also noticed a enhancement to allow for branch targeting which could also get implemented as a tag in images if you wanted.

Sorry for bothering, but which docker compose do you use for them? Just the official one but with the images replaced?

Oh okay, thats huge 😅. I just want the most simple single player server and I used the official one with your images, but the worldserver container somehow lacks the worldserver binary. I have to find it out.

If you just want to consume precompiled images without c++ modules then the compose file is quite simple. I'm not familiar with the official compose file but I suspect you are tripping over some configuration as it supports building from source. Feel free to message me on the azerothcore discord, I might be able to scare a simple one up

Thank you for your help! I have found another way to achieve what I wanted.
I used this script to initially set everything up and then slimmed down the docker-compose from here for Portainer. Now I can start, stop and edit the stack from there.
Maybe I try to build a script for updating the images someday and will reach out to you when I have questions, but right now I'm happy.

Sounds great, yeah. My project is essentially what you listed with tons of tooling to help with the build and management of around 300 modules. Feel free to try it out and and let me know if you have issues. I am aiming to make it noob proof.
