Currently if not connected to a WiFi network, when you start a new group, it allows you to get all of the way through to trying to start (and failing to) a babble node.
It would be a better UX to check earlier. Potentially on clicking the floating plus button, check the status and do not open the New Group fragment at all if the device is not connected to a network (with a suitable error message).
