Question about unoriginal games

Hello, I lost my original copy of emerald a few years back and bought a "fake" copy a few months ago., This tool works great on my legit FireRed, but is there any way to get this to work on an unoriginal emerald? Or am I just better off getting an original game?

I believe you'll have to get a legit copy of pokemon emerald. I think the hardware inside the cartridge has to be genuine in order for the software to recognise it.
