PT-Thrifty - EOMEM on 6th successive Jam - probably something with 'Timer()'

I revised the timer code, but still getting these 'ENOMEM'.

I've also noticed that the same problem happens almost immediately with the RP2350-zero board, when it starts to 'follow' or 'calibrate'. :-(

Suggestion is that 'we' need to refactor the code to use asyncio to do threading properly.

Quick check shows the same problem(s) on micropython v1.28.0 and v1.29.0-preview. :-(

Interestingly the PT_Thrifty code modified a bit and running on the 'RP2350-Touch-LCD-2' was able to Calibrate without the error.

This is using a WaveShare '.uf2' which reports:
