Missing `.meta` files

Hi, when installing the plugin from github I get a ton of errors about missing .meta files (currently on Unity 2021)

Hi, Honestly, I’m still not sure whether it’s worth making additional changes for a version that has already reached the end of LTS support.
Anyway Which 2021 version are you using? and Windows? macOS?
There is many 2021.x.x versions - https://unity.com/releases/editor/archive

Hi, Sure. It was Unity 2021.3.45f1 and f2 (latest publicly available).
Newer Unity versions don't show errors anymore/warnings for missing meta files? I guess strictly speaking you'll never reference a plugin dll in a script but without meta files for other assets references would go missing on re-import I suspect. It seems like it only affects the plugins here tho.

That’s odd. I just installed Unity 2021.3.45f2 on my M1 machine and tested it in a brand-new project.
I added this package:

"com.netpyoung.webp": "https://github.com/netpyoung/unity.webp.git?path=unity_project/Assets/unity.webp#0.3.22"

But in this fresh project, xcframework has no meta file warning does not appear.

So I’m wondering:

• Does the same issue reproduce in a completely new project on your side as well?
• If it only happens in the existing project, then it seems very likely that something project-specific is interfering — possibly a custom importer, an AssetPostprocessor, or some other Editor script running during the import pipeline.

In a fresh project unity just warns at first:

when i reimport the package:

Well that is strange. I don't know what's going on in unity but to avoid that

Could you try to use that?
