Pin the container toolchain to versions that still work with the legacy Neurosynth stack and restore setuptools after dependency installation so gunicorn can start reliably. Add a GitHub Actions workflow that builds Docker images on pull requests and publishes them to GHCR on pushes, tags, and manual runs.
Build a self-contained Flask test harness backed by seeded dummy data so the suite no longer depends on test.neurosynth.org or Selenium. Add decode endpoint coverage for both successful task persistence and worker failure handling.
Build the app image directly in compose, restore the startup script steps that materialize settings and initialize assets, and run gunicorn from the conda environment used by the container. Update database setup to run inside an app context with less aggressive rebuild behavior, generate topic images, and request sparse feature matrices during study ingestion to reduce setup failures.
