⚠️ This issue respects the following points: ⚠️

  • This is a bug, not a question or a configuration/webserver/proxy issue.
  • This issue is not already reported on Github (I've searched it).
  • I agree to follow Nextcloud's Code of Conduct.

What went wrong, what did you observe?

I wanted to create a poll for the nicest goal of our footbal team’s winter season. Each option describes the respective scene with 2-3 sentences, so that everyone can remember the scene.

Following you see the rendering. I don’t understand this at all…?!?!

  • This has nothing to do with a list.
  • You can’t read a thing.
  • On smaller screens it’s even hard to realize, that this is a 3x4 matrix of 12 options.
Image

Here is the mobile view. There you can’t even realize the 4x3 grid. How silly is this?!

Image

And here is the rendering when one option is expanded. I don’t even know what to say. Obviously nobody ever tested anything.

Image

Following you see the table view. This is equally shitty, as the texts jump up and down at expanding on mouse-over, and you can’t read longer texts in such small columns. I even don’t know where horizontal scrolling makes any sense in the first place. On mobile, this situation is even more annoying, as you have to tap on each option, to expand it – while all other options get cropped again.

Image

What did you expect, how polls should behave instead?

Basically, I’d like a vertical poll view – something like the admin’s view, where i can see and edit all options I created. Ideally with every option showing the full text instead of cropping the texts, one after another, so people could compare.

What steps does it need to replay this bug?

  1. Create a text poll
  2. Enter about 10 options with longer texts
