Plugin Screen Toolkit issue

When I click on "color", a "color picker cancelled" prompt appears and there is no further response. The same behavior happens when clicking on "palette".

Hey! The “Running” status means a tool is currently capturing your screen.

Could you share a bit more info so I can narrow it down?

Which tool gets stuck on “Running”? (OCR, QR, Annotate, etc.)
What distro and WM/compositor are you on? (Hyprland, Niri, Sway…)
Does it happen every time or just randomly?

That should help me track it down

I'm on Niri. It was probably the Lens tool getting stuck while processing. It's quite random and I've only triggered it twice so far. I actually tried to reproduce it—for example, by pointing 0x0.st to localhost in my hosts file—but that just immediately threw an error instead of hanging. I'll keep an eye on it and let you know once I figure out a reliable way to reproduce it during my daily use.

Thanks for the extra info! The Lens tool uses curl to upload to 0x0.st — if the connection hangs it never finishes and the running state gets stuck. I'll add a timeout to fix this

oh, i got this problem now on last version and can't use ocr, color picker, qr and other tools for now. using nixos + niri on my laptop and this happens every time

@Noktum hey, if you can’t use any of the tools, then it’s probably a dependency issue. Also, this is an old solved thread, so please open a new issue and include the exact error messages you’re getting. Saying “i can’t use” alone doesn’t really help. Thanks.

@DBeidachazi I did update the plugin to V1.0.3, all issues should be resolved .
