I'm wondering if you've managed to figure out if the OCR'd text is stored in the .note files or not?

Hey, didn't find any OCR data so far, but I am not very familiar of the Boox OCR functionality. Could take a look if you provide an example .note file.

I've attached a basic .note (just change the file extension from .zip due to GitHub restrictions).
I haven't looked into it too closely yet either, but it may be the case that the OCR metadata is somehow maintained in the Notes app itself. It isn't there in the PDF export at least (I've attached that file as well).

Thanks, I can't see any OCR data in the notes file.

I tried the OCR of boox and was underwhelmed with it to be honest - modern ChatBots can do a much better job at getting text out of notes.

Would recommend convert to markdown with them (example here) and then open markdown + pdf side by side. There are cli tools to help with that and obsidian plugins as well.
