refactor: remove 'qs' dependency and update error handling for Strapi v5

Description

Would love to discuss the changes if necessary, first time contributing here.

• Remove qs as a dependency, as it produces errors in newer Nuxt 4 releases.
• Add error handling for Strapi v5
