readme should specify what a workspace is

context:

• i tried running item 6 in readme, which is "specific test case"
• this requires a workspace but no details as to what that is
• making a simple folder then complains that it's missing some files (which i happen to see some templates for in json_spec/input yet i cant figure out what the json_spec folder is either)

please add some documentation re. workspaces
