test: remove duplicate hooks.test.ts superseded by hooks.test.tsx

hooks.test.tsx (added in fc51f17) covers the same 4 scenarios as
hooks.test.ts. Having both files with the same base name caused
ts-jest's Language Service to return emitSkipped=true on Linux CI,
failing the test suite to run.
